Crazy Busy

One of my friends came over yesterday. She, who is engaged to a guy that is in the military currently in Baghdad, asked me if my life was as crazy busy as hers. Mind you, she came over just as we were finishing lunch. I looked at her and said YES! My days are filled with rushing Justus to the potty so he wont have an accident, cleaning up accidents he has almost daily in one form or another, trying to get both kids fed, watered or otherwise tummies full. Getting them dressed several times a day cause Justus is still mastering the spoon and Haven is still mastering getting it to her mouth. Changing diapers, changing underwear. Laundry for days. Teaching the kids to play together, reading to them, teaching them in general. Answering the phone when important calls come - all this while hoping to have time to get myself ready, fed and time to use the restroom. Now, as all you parents know, these things never happen one at a time so as to get them accomplished in an orderly nice fashion. No, most always it is at least 3 things at once or more. So, not to short change my friend at all cause I certainly remember planning my wedding, working full time, trying to communicate with my soon-to-be hubby (let alone one that is so far away in dangerous places) - I know that is busy too. But something about being a mom - we are just always crazy busy!
