First day of First Grade & Kindergarten for H!

Yesterday was a BIG day for us at the Pettit house!  Justus started first grade.  He went from half day school to full day school and Haven is now in the public school system full time!  She started her Transitional Kindergarten class.  They treat them so much like regular kindergartners, it is hard to tell the difference.

We got to meet Justus teacher the Friday before.  That was nice - I wasnt sure if we would get to.  But since J has his allergy and we have to leave an epi pen with the school, I had the opportunity to speak with her about Js allergy.

Friday was also Havens meet and greet with her teachers so we got to see her classroom and see the teachers.  I already knew one of them but it was nice to meet the other one.

So Monday came and we were all set!

Neil took the day off which was nice.  It was SUPER crowded at school.  Parents everywhere.  Some kids too ;)

 We dropped H off.  She did great.  Our little neighbor girl is in her class and they were soon playing together.  Then we took J to his class and he did great also.  One of his little classmates from last year was sitting next to him so that was fun.

 Then Neil and I had a little bit of time to kill before it was time to pick up H.  Then we had some more time to pick up J.

Haven had a great day.  Her teacher said she did awesome!  She said each of her teachers read her a story and she liked that.

Justus also had a great day.  He said he really liked it.  He said his favorite part was going to the cafeteria ;)
