Camp out!

Last night we had a little camp out in our backyard.  It was a perfect day/night for it.  Neils parents have a real tent so Neil borrowed it for us to use.

The kids have been asking for something like this for awhile.  I have to say, the idea of sleeping on the ground in my backyard when my comfy bed is only yards away is a little hard for me.  But in the name of fun and good memories I included myself in the sleepover part of the camp out.

We had been playing so much then we grilled some hot dogs and had fresh strawberries from the patch.  Then the kids jumped in their jeep and we all went for a walk/ride.  Then it was home for some ice cream and get ready for bed.

Then into the tent we all went.  Neil provided a little movie for the kids on the ipad.  Then it was off to dreamland.  It really was cozy and a fun time - if a little hard on the bones :)
